June 2, 2010 [Day 2]...I spent so much time on the first "real" day of this challenge thinking about what I wanted my picture of the day to be. I really thought that something was going to jump out at me. But nothing, nothing, nothing all day. Then while parked at a light on my way home from the gym, I saw a political poster. Now I know this photo kind of sucks (I was messing with trying to find my camera and getting the shot before the light turned!) but that's not the point. The last name of one of the candidates was Mastrangelo. That was the last name of my friend Chris who passed away about 2 and 1/2 years ago. The sign reminded me of him, and it was not a memory or thought I would have otherwise had. Nothing too spectular or amazing or thoughtprovoking...just an emotion. It was at this moment that I realized the photo of the day can be something really simple. Most of the times it probably will be. But I am hoping it will help bring to light the little things that capture a piece of my mind on any given day.
